Rowley fan
England, ca. 1880, signed "Rowley: Hugh Rowley, active as a fan painter between 1875 and 1895, often collaborated with his wife Caroline in paiting fans. Their fans are often decorated with names within whimsical and ornamental floral settings, presumbably because they were commissioned as gifts.
